The Position and Time Lab allows gathering position and time data that students can use to determine average speed, and estimate instantaneous speed using slopes of the graph. In this lab, we will work the opposite direction. We have only speedometers for our two cars, and we want to be able to estimate how far they travel. This in turn will allow the student to find average speed. We can also look at the rate at which velocity changes to find acceleration.
